Gridworks

Gridworks develops and invests in Africa’s electricity networks.  It invests long-term capital in commercially sustainable infrastructure, bringing affordable, clean and reliable power to people and businesses. As a partner to governments, utilities, and companies in the energy sector, Gridworks targets equity investments in transmission, distribution and distributed renewable energy. Launched in 2019, Gridworks is owned and capitalised by British International Investment, the UK’s development finance institution. Gridworks’ investments include Sustainable Power Solutions, a distributed renewable energy company providing solar power to businesses across Africa, and Moyi Power, a US$100m+ solar-power, greenfield utility serving 700,000 people in three cities in the DRC.
